Most owners say that their dogs love chasing squirrels, but they never catch them. Well, Shasta also loves to chase them, but she is so good that she sometimes catches them!
What happened here is that a squirrel was running around in the parking lot and Shasta was by the fence. When the squirrel saw Shasta, it ran to the fence to get to a tree, and Shasta was right there waiting. She nipped the tip off the squirrels tail.
Always hate to see any animal get hurt, but trying to make a dog not chase squirrels is a losting battle against nature. Glad Shasta got a good chase, and the squirrel got away~
