When the Hunter becomes the Hunted

Shasta is used to being the one doing the hunting with other animals--but this giant snow leopard at the Los Angeles Zoo had other plans.

The snow leopard stalked Shasta.  You can see in all the pics the attack cat creepin in the background.

Dogs were not allowed close to certain exhibits, like this one, for obvious reasons.  These are wild animals, and it is just a fence between you and them.

This baboon at the Los Angeles Zoo took a real interest in Shasta.

He was not agressive.  He looked surprised at first, and then sat down to check her out further.

Shasta says "Can I get a chase up in here!?"

Black Dog and a Black Bear

Shasta has actually got a few chases on black bears back when she lived in Colorado.

"Can I chase it?!" she asks.
